How do I apply BRUSH ON BLOCK?
BRUSH ON BLOCK is housed in a self-dispensing brush. The powder flows thru the brush and out the head of the brush. When you receive the brush it will be in the “close” position. Remove the top cap and slide the plastic sleeve all the way down to uncover the brush head. Turn the bottom cartridge slightly (about 1/2″) until you feel a click (don’t keep turning it or you will unscrew the cartridge completely). Now the brush is in the “open” position and the powder should flow thru the brush to the brush head. Hold the brush in your hand and flick your wrist (like you would do with a glass thermometer) until you see the minerals in the brush head. Apply liberally to face, neck, chest and hands. For smaller areas around the eyes and nose, slide the sleeve halfway up the brush for more precise application. Turn the bottom of the container to the right back to the “close” position and replace cover when not in use. Read more about how to apply Brush On Block here.
How long should the original mineral cartridge last?
The minerals in your BRUSH ON BLOCK brush should last approximately 2-3 months with average use. If you are repeating applications due to swimming or sweating, you may use the product more quickly.
How do I refill my brush?
BRUSH ON BLOCK was designed to be refillable. To refill your brush simply remove the bottom cartridge by holding the top of the brush with one hand and the bottom of the brush with the other. Twist the bottom cartridge to the left until it unscrews and comes off. Remove the lid from the refill cartridge and screw the cartridge on to the bottom of the brush, twisting to the right.
Can I wash my brush?
The BRUSH ON BLOCK brush head may be cleaned with a brush cleaner, soap or shampoo. Clean with brush cleaner by spraying each side of brush with makeup brush cleaner (2-4 sprays). Gently tissue off residue and let air dry.
To clean with soap or shampoo remove powder cartridge by hold the top of the brush with one hand and the bottom of the brush with the other. Twist the bottom cartridge to the left until it unscrews. Set the bottom cartridge aside. Hold brush sideways under running water. Keeping the brush horizontal, apply a small amount of shampoo or gentle soap onto the brush and rub with your fingers. Rinse horizontally under running water. Squeeze the brush to remove excess water. Allow to dry overnight on its side. Once thoroughly dry, screw bottom powder cartridge back on
Can I use BRUSH ON BLOCK on my body?
While BRUSH ON BLOCK was designed to provide quick and easy sun protection for the face, neck, arms and hands, it can be used on all body parts that are exposed to the sun or that require fast and easy sun protection.
Is it safe around my eyes?
While BRUSH ON BLOCK should not be placed in the eyes, there is little risk of the product running or dripping into the eye area. To apply to smaller areas around the eyes and nose, slide the plastic brush sleeve halfway up for more precise application. BRUSH ON BLOCK can be lightly dusted around the eye area and over closed lids.
